Northumberland County Council's Planning Service is looking to recruit 3 permanent Senior Planning Officers who are committed to delivering an efficient, effective and customer focused Planning Service. The Development Management Team receives around 6,000 planning applications per year and operates at a fast pace. They're looking to appoint the right people with the drive and ambition to add experience and expertise to a very focused Development Management Team output. You'll be responsible for a personal caseload comprising a high proportion of major and other planning applications received from across the County. This is a unique and exciting, yet challenging role, that would suit anyone with the requisite requirements. There's an interesting opportunity for an Democratic and Elections Manager to join Darlington Borough Council. The council are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person to lead a small and friendly team in the delivery of Democratic, Electoral, including support services to Members and the Civic Mayoral role. This role will act as the Council’s Statutory Scrutiny Officer and support the Returning Officer, in the planning and delivery of elections. You'll have previous experience of Local Authority democratic and electoral work and have a good understanding of the procedures and practices that govern this work.
