  • Northumberland County Council's Planning Service is looking to recruit 3 permanent Senior Planning Officers who are committed to delivering an efficient, effective and customer focused Planning Service. The Development Management Team receives around 6,000 planning applications per year and operates at a fast pace. They're looking to appoint the right people with the drive and ambition to add experience and expertise to a very focused Development Management Team output. You'll be responsible for a personal caseload comprising a high proportion of major and other planning applications received from across the County. This is a unique and exciting, yet challenging role, that would suit anyone with the requisite requirements. You'll you will also be required to present reports on behalf of the Service to the Planning Committee, assess and sign off officer reports, assist and mentor officers and technicians and provide advice and guidance where required.
