I get agency founders in the press, on podcasts, and conference stages. I've built the public profiles of many CEOs, ghostwritten their articles for major publications, and taken them from their first talk to keynoting. I help: - You say the right things in the right way. - Use my network to get media opportunities. - Prepare you for stage appearances or ghostwrite your articles. You just need to show up. Want to work together? DM me. If you want a second opinion, check out the 31 recommendations on LinkedIn. #AgencyFounder #Press #ThoughtLeadership #Publicity

I'm looking for content producers, writers or journalists who can explain how people can use expert opinions in content (e.g., what types of content, where, and how it can benefit content). I'd also love some examples, stories, case studies, or opinions on why you should bother getting expert opinions to feature in content. What's the benefit? If you have something to say on the topic and would like to feature in the Antiquoted article, please submit your thoughts here: https://lnkd.in/gqygNaNc #MediaRequest #journalists #Content #Writers #B2B

This is my first-ever podcast! While I HATE seeing myself on a recording, there are some important topics me and Dave Heywood discuss about dealing with bad behavior at work, why I built No Wanky Bollocks and Antiquoted, and how I've managed to get work as a writer despite being in special needs classes until uni.
If you ever feel like everyone else except you is smashing it, you’re not alone! In our latest episode, we caught up with Katie Kelly, on her background, career and learnings along the way, with a healthy dollop of her trademark candour! 👌 Well worth checking out her work at No Wanky Bollocks for more real, unfiltered stories and her latest project, Antiquoted, helping more diverse voices get discovered and featured in the media #marketing #marketingcareers #podcast #marketers #careerdevelopment

January 2018. I'm late. My business partner, Alice Reeves, and a potential investor look up as I enter the meeting room. Unimpressed. I fumble some excuses, trying to stop my hands from trembling. Everything sounds very loud, too close; I'm struggling to focus. That afternoon, Alice gets an email. Something along the lines of: "I can't invest in your business, and with kindness, I think you should really consider who you've gone into partnership with." It's another couple of years before I confess that I'd been up for days on a massive bender. This was the pattern in those early days. The more successful we became, the more I wanted to destroy it. Running a business is tough bananas in almost every single way. And it acted as a catalyst for all of my unresolved sh*t. Luckily, it also created many opportunities for me to deal with it (four years clean, baby! But that's not the point of this post). I'm having an allergic reaction to all the fakery people seem compelled to post on social media, especially on LinkedIn. Look, I get it. We feel we HAVE to fake it, or we'll never make it. But to everyone else thinking, 'Well sh*t, I can never do THAT,' I want you to know that if that sweaty, broken, sleep-deprived, sad woman of seven years ago did, you absolutely can, too. Aptly, this interview I did for No Wanky Bollocks and the lovely Katie Kelly talks about my story and the thing I hate most about my industry (can you guess what it is?)

Let's unpack this "18-month long pitch" (there's almost no one that should be celebrating). Lego's Marketing Team cannot make a decision and clearly is horribly aligned internally. There is no reason why it should take this long to select a media agency. Especially when so much of the budget is digital (~75%). My guess is the regions couldn't agree, the CMO couldn't pull them together and the CEO should be wildly concerned about how much time and money was wasted on this review. Publicis probably gave away the farm to win this. An 18-month pitch is not a battle of titans trying to edge each other, like the famous 11 hour Isner/Mahut Wimbledon Match. This is likely painful negotiations both internally at Lego and with Publicis/the other agency participants. It also sets a horrible precedent for future reviews and agency employees should be concerned. Also don't forget, the best of the best get staffed on these reviews... participating in a pitch like this risks your best talent. Every Publicis client should be concerned. Since Publicis likely gave away the farm to win, they are going to look for it somewhere else. Every client of the losing agencies should be concerned. They spent millions in aggregate to pitch this, they are going to look for it somewhere else. Lego's HR team should be concerned. Their new office in Boston is attracting quite a bit of interest from talent. If it takes this long to make a decision, it's going to be a concern for new applicants. This kind of pitch process is a big part of what is destroying the ad agency model. These Lego clients should be ashamed of themselves and the rest of the ad community should hold them to task. There is only one winner... the pitch consultant. And they should be grateful they are not listed in this press release. No brand client should ever hire them again. (and if you're curious... I've won pitches this big on the agency, held reviews this size as a client, and managed some as a consultant.) #adagency #mediaagency #RFP #Lego
The Lego Group has appointed Publicis as its global media agency following a competitive review. The toy brand’s account will be handled by a bespoke team called Publicis One which is led by Starcom.

This is an appreciation post for Mr Shitty. Thanks for getting so offended over the phrase ‘Thank you, Daddy' that you, as a senior creative director, felt it necessary to send 8 paragraphs of unsolicited advice to a young woman on LinkedIn. And thank you, Em Goodier, Co-Founder of Word Tonic, for sharing that story and standing your ground. Read the story. Link in the comments 👇 #creatives #GenZ #Copywriting #TOV

Who can help?
Hoping this works... Can we do a good Linkedin thing today and find Ibukun Oluleye a placement year at a marketing agency? :) Here's the story: Yesterday, I returned to my old university to give a career talk. One of the people in attendance was Ibukun, who immediately gave off all the right vibes: asking great questions and being super engaged. Never mind simply showing up for an optional session, which is a good sign! We chatted afterwards, and she's now looking for a placement year at a marketing agency. She's smart and clearly has a plan in mind. But it's not easy to find such a role at the moment. So, I thought we might be able to do something cool and help today. Here's what you need to know about the placement and Ibukun (her words now): 🙂 Three things about me: 1. I'm a marketing student who lives for seeing brands (especially startups) find their place in the world 2. I've had various internships, including as a Strategy Intern at M&C Saatchi 3. I'm always learning something new - lately, that's British Sign Language 🔎 Three things I'm looking for in a placement: 1. An agency with brand strategy as a key part of its offer 2. A SME with great opportunities to learn & challenge myself 3. A chance to help an agency grow, deliver and add value to others ⭐️ Three things about a placement: 1. It's a year of full-time work starting from Summer 2024. 2. It should be typical of at least grad/entry-level work. 3. There's always the opportunity to talk about a return post-graduation! (Back to me) If you can help - that would be wicked. And if you might know someone, let them know too. Hoping today Linkedin can do good things ✌️✌️
