Number Fifteen is a retained recruitment firm, specialising in the legal and financial services sectors.
For straight-forward, everyday, easy to fill roles we find contingent recruitment often works well. It’s a ‘no-placement-no fee’ service, often in conjunction with other suppliers. There is no commitment on either side, and it works relatively well for those easy to fill positions.
However, when things get a little more challenging, whether it be a difficult geographic location, a niche skill-set, a critical hire, or for senior, confidential, urgent, or multiple hires, we apply a search methodology. Retained search is our headhunting service and for some clients we act as an extension of, or in place of, a talent acquisition team, either for a period of growth or on an on-going basis.
Essentially some financial commitment from our client enables us to apply a robust search process. And most importantly to commit to working with them until the position is filled.
For our business, this means that fundamentally we have some level of certainty that we are not wasting our time nor that of our candidates.
It also has two major benefits: greater capacity for candidate care and client attention. Overall, we ensure a constructive application process and positive experience for our candidates; we keep them well informed, give valuable feedback and offer support and care if they are not successful. For our clients this means they can be confident we are devoting our time and functional expertise to their roles. We focus on getting it right rather than getting it done quickly – though, often we do both. Typically, the client doesn’t pay any more for what is a far more extensive process; the fee is simply structured in a different way, asking the client to commit funds in advance rather than on success.
