  • Hanukkah, or Chanukah in Hebrew, is the Jewish festival of light. 🕎 The word Hanukkah means 'dedication' and celebrates one of the greatest miracles in Jewish history. This year it's begins on the evening of Wednesday 25 December and will last for 8 days. It is celebrated with a nightly menorah lighting as well as playing dreidel, singing songs and preparing delicious food. 😊 We would like to wish all our patients, staff, families and the community a Happy Hanukkah! 💙

  • Departments across our Family Integrated Support Services have been getting into the festive spirit by participating in a friendly Christmas Tree competition! Teams, including Pharmacy, Pathology and Diagnostic Imaging were tasked with decorating their Christmas Tree in a way that is unique to the services they provide our patients. It is safe to say that their is a lot of creative flair at Team North West Anglia, we absolutely love these trees! Well done to Women’s Health Ward at Peterborough City Hospital and the Rehabilitation Unit at Hinchingbrooke for being crowned our winners!

  • It is fantastic to see new state-of-the-art technology installed in the Interventional Radiology (IR) Suite at Peterborough City Hospital! This technology is helping us to enhance the care we provide, enabling the procedures we offer our patients to be quicker and less invasive. A huge well done to the team for implementing this positive digital enhancement for our patients! https://lnkd.in/eeT7vUuM

  • Congratulations to our Paediatric and Research and Development colleagues who recruited 50 babies to the ‘Febrile Infants Diagnostic assessment and Outcome study (FIDO). 📊 The FIDO study was a large UK-wide study looking at how we can spot sick infants and how we can use tests better to identify those infants that require treatment with antibiotics. Dr Katherine McDevitt, Consultant Paediatrician and Lead Clinician for NICU, Interim Assistant Divisional Director for Paediatrics for the Trust said: “The team have done a fantastic job of recruiting patients to the FIDO study so I would just like to say thank you to them for their hard work and dedication and hope to take part in more paediatric studies in the future.” 💙 The study was run by PERUKI – Paediatric Emergency Research in UK and Ireland.
