Today is Remembrance Day – a day which marks the armistice of 11th November 1918, ending World War I, and serves as a time to reflect on the courage and commitment of our services in the UK.   OCU Group, throughout the the UK, will observe a two-minute silence at 11am to honour the service and sacrifice of those who have and continue to serve. We will stand with our service leavers and veterans in our team and with those who have family members currently serving.   Together, we remember.

Visitors from Virgin Media O2 recently attended an interactive day at our OCU Academy in Sheffield. This month our Learning & Development team has launched our Women in Leadership Development programme in partnership with Instep. Our OCU colleagues will be undertaking the 15-month, 9 module programme, designed for both current leaders and aspiring female leaders, giving them the strategic skills, confidence and tools to thrive in these roles. Feedback on the first session included: “Todays learning has given me valuable techniques that I can transfer to my role which will have a big impact on my team.” “I think today will really help me be a more conscious leader. Our Group charity the 𝗢𝗖𝗨 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 held its inaugural Charity Dinner last Friday and the event was a resounding success with dinner, drinks, entertainment, auctions and more. An impressive amount was raised on the night for our charity partner the Teenage Cancer Trust. We were deeply grateful for the overwhelming turnout, and it was a powerful opportunity to raise money for, and awareness of, the incredible work the trust does every day, supporting young people with cancer across the UK. Well done to our OCU Foundation team on the delivery of such an impressive event, that will make a real difference to the charity.
