And we’re live 💫 If you work in football or are part of a football community you’ll have heard ‘well, it’s football’, ‘it’s the way it’s always been done’ and if you’re like me and you’re not part of the football mould you’ll have heard ‘just FYI that’s not how it’s normally done in football’ - nothing is more eye roll inducing. ❤️ And that is why I appreciate the changemakers in the game, the people who are taking the bad out of football and creating new ways and systems - we need this, desperately. Can’t be more delighted to be collaborating as ‘event hosts’ with Striver founded by the wonderful Tim Chase and the equally wonderful Gilberto Silva. If you’ve not heard of Striver do look it up, it’s an abuse free social media platform (a troll free zone - online heaven!). Drumroll 🥁 💥On the evening of the 17th November, we’ll be hosting their amazing event StriveAid in aid of CALM 💥 CALM is a “suicide prevention charity on a mission to help people end their misery, not their lives”. What better venue for this than a stadium that’s been named ‘Britains best ground’ multiple times (if you’ve ever visited you will know why!). And besides the incredible venue, the event will be full of amazing players too. ⚽️Gilberto Silva and his team will be going head to head against Roberto Carlos and his team - it’s the ultimate ‘Battle of the Brazilians’ ⚽️ 🇧🇷 Striver will be announcing the line up soon so watch this space - it’s a mix of YouTubers and media personalities and players from the Silva and Carlos’ era - in total both teams have over 200,000,000 followers collectively so they’ll be many eyeballs over Lewes, Striver and what will be an incredible very meaningful campaign. The main purpose of this event is to fundraise for charity and to spotlight doing football differently - if you’d like to be part of the campaign in anyway, do get in touch ❤️🖤⚽️ Ending with a special thank you to the amazing Ryan Sparrowhawk who has already dedicated so much time to this and Eleonor Hall for all her background work too!
