Yesterday morning the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero confirmed that the £163m allocated in the Autumn Budget for the Industrial Energy Transformation Fund would only be used to complete projects from phase 1 & 2, and the first window of phase 3. The implication of this is that it's unlikely there will be a second window of phase 3 applications as expected. Anyone who would like to discuss this further with DESNZ can use the following email - IETF@energysecurity.gov.uk . IETF was a competition for grant funding. This announcement also means that little, if any, direct grant support can be expected for energy transition or efficiency projects in the foreseeable future. Projects going forward will largely need to be private sector funded. Grant schemes such as IETF can inadvertently delay companies from implementing their efficiency ideas whilst they await the outcome of decision-making. Energy efficiency measures are one of the fastest savings a business can make to its bottom line and postponing projects on account of future funding opportunities can prevent cost and CO2 savings from being realised. If your business wishes to progress energy efficiency and onsite generation solutions but would like to avoid spending capex on them, then our off-balance sheet funding model where we fund the measures, own and maintain them for a fixed period, could be the answer. #energyefficiency #zerocapex #PPA #energysolutions #energydecarbonisation #netzero #energysecurity

Renewable Energy Power Generation
We deliver innovative energy and CO2 reduction savings for energy intensive manufacturing, without capex.
About us
On-Site Energy was founded to support energy intensive manufacturers to improve their energy efficiency and achieve their sustainability goals through innovation and an off-balance sheet services model. From our founder’s experience within a NYSE-listed global manufacturing business, developing a focus on energy savings and sustainability is key. Operations and facilities teams often need support and innovation to develop solutions. The scale of the opportunities can surprise them. But then they need to secure the capital investment to realise those opportunities. Competition for capital is usually high, which generally limits payback to 2-3 years. Our off-balance sheet approach can unlock the opportunities, allowing faster adoption of savings and sustainability gains to accelerate ESG credentials.

On-Site Energy adopts Procore https://lnkd.in/dtSNmig7 I am pleased to announce that On-Site Energy has made the decision to adopt Procore for project delivery from 1 January 2025. As we move to run more and more projects in parallel, we took the decision to adopt a robust industry standard tool to manage all aspects of our projects through to ensure that we deliver our projects to the right quality and on time, on budget. Procore will enable all our customers, suppliers and project management team to have visibility of each of our projects including drawings, programmes, quality reviews, project meetings, notes snagging and costs through one platform. Our team is working hard on launching three projects on Procore by 1 January and to having all frameworks established by then. We see this as a major investment in professional systems to ensure we can deliver the energy transition and net zero for our customers whereever they are in UK or internationally, and regardless of the technical complexities of each project. We also believe this will enable our suppliers to have a clearer understanding of their role in each project, as we develop recurring business relationships with many of them. #projectmanagement #procore #growth #ppa #energytransition #netzero

Any news about IETF ? When iETF round 6 was started in April 2024 DESNZ stated they expected the final decision to come 7-8 months after the window closed. Provisional timetable was: 19th April 2024 : Application window closes. October 2024 : Notification of outcome of the eligibility and assessment stages. December 2024 : Notification of outcome of the due diligence stage. Grant Funding Agreements for successful proposals signed and project set-up details agreed. None of our clients have heard anything about the outcomes, so it’s clearly running behind schedule. In the meantime potential projects are on hold, project benefits are on hold, budget costs are increasing, and momentum is lost. Does anyone have any news or information about what’s happening ? Pls comment if you do. #energyefficiency #energysavings #ppa #energytransition #netzero

David Kipling, CEO of On-site Energy Ltd, was featured in a The Guardian article earlier this week titled, 'Gridlock: Why It Can Take 11 Years To Connect Solar Farms To The UK Network'. The piece discusses the ongoing difficulties that UK businesses face in trying to connect onsite generation projects to the grid, thereby significantly reducing energy decarbonisation options.
