Another exciting feature for Our Only World...👏 We have been featured in The Falmouth Packet. We have been working with Falmouth Harbour, Falmouth Town Council and ARC Marine – a British company providing environmentally friendly solutions to the marine industry - to create and distribute SeAlive Tiles or "Habitiles" onto harbour walls. “A flat harbour wall doesn’t have the nooks and crannies that attract a diverse marine habitat and this is what the tiles aim to replicate.” - Our Only World founder, Tina Robinson. “We hope to see seaweeds and algae making their home here which then provides shelter and food for small invertebrates, which in turn become a food source for larger animals.” It's about preserving marine life and aiding the food chain 👏 We’d like to say a special thank you to our funders Sea-Changers and Matthew Good Foundation for facilitating this installation. I spent the day at University of Plymouth yesterday for the Future Climate Leaders celebration event with Rob Hopkins.  It was such an inspiring event, filled with individuals dedicated to making the future a better place. 2024 countdown We work very hard at Falmouth Harbour, Cornwall to balance a vibrant harbour economically that successfully sits alongside some amazing habitats and wildlife. As a trust port we have been entrusted with getting this balance right and increasing our environmental work year on year as we battle climate change and try to do more. I went to the Carbis Bay cubs and scouts group a few weeks ago to chat with the children and teach them about our SeAlive Tiles! This was a lovely experience, and the children were all very polite and interested in what I was sharing. A big thank you to the leaders who invited me over, they were all so dedicated in helping the children💙

As we come to the end of the year, we wanted to say a big thank you to our intern Sophie who has been an amazing help to the charity over the last few months. Sophie joined Our Only World back in August, and we’ve absolutely loved having her on the team. She’s been a huge help with so many tasks across our projects, like looking for funding for core costs, creating presentations, researching our target audience, and writing pitches. She’s also been amazing at designing social media graphics and analyzing our website to help us improve. Sophie’s support has been invaluable, and we’re so glad we could offer her this internship while she completed the Net-Zero Exchange Sustainable Leadership Programme at the University of Plymouth. We’re so grateful for everything she’s done for us and can’t wait to see all the amazing things she’ll achieve in the future! #marineconservation #marinecharity #interns #cornwall
