PEAS is transforming education across sub-Saharan Africa. Each year we support 200,000 young people, in marginalised communities across Uganda, Zambia, and Ghana. We work hand in hand with governments so all young people can learn in a safe, inclusive environment. We draw on 16 years practical experience running one of the largest, not-for-profit secondary school networks in sub-Saharan Africa. Our award-winning programmes are designed and delivered by Africans for Africans. Evidence shows our students come from poorer households and make faster learning progress. And our girls are more confident and better equipped for life after school.

As we step into 2025, we’re taking a moment to celebrate some incredible achievements from the past year: 1. Best-ever exam results: PEAS students in Zambia outperformed the national average by 20%, showcasing the transformative power of quality education. 2. Improving education for 200,000 students: Across 344 partner schools in Uganda, Zambia, and Ghana, we strengthened education quality and inclusion, launching new partnerships with USAID DIV and the Ghanaian government. 3. Welcoming Impact Network into the PEAS family: This exciting partnership allows us to support the most marginalised students throughout their entire education journey and develop best practices to transform the critical transition from primary to secondary school. 4. UNESCO Prize for Women’s and Girls’ Education: A proud moment, shared with CAMFED - Campaign for Female Education, recognising our efforts to empower marginalised girls. 5. Sustainability strides: Piloted climate-friendly construction in Uganda to reduce deforestation and carbon emissions. 6. International recognition: Second place at the East Africa World Schools Debate Championships went to PEAS Onwards and Upwards students – building skills that go beyond the classroom. We can’t wait to see what 2025 brings as we continue empowering young people through quality education. What’s your highlight of 2024? Let us know in the comments!

TOGETHER, WE DID IT! 🎉 We are over the moon to announce that, thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we’ve raised £76,121 through the Big Give Christmas Fundraising Challenge - £26,121 over our initial target! This is enough to support over 1,080 young people to access life-changing secondary education. A child who goes to secondary school will not only lead a healthier and wealthier life, but they will also uplift their entire community. Over their lifetime, they will unlock huge potential for themselves, their families, and their children. A huge thank you from PEAS and our students to everyone who donated, shared, and supported us. Your contribution is truly life-changing, and we couldn’t have done it without you. Together, we’ve made a massive impact – changing lives, one girl at a time.
You can't put a price on education. But this year, you can gift it. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we’ve raised £58,856 in 6 days through the Big Give - but we’re still £11,144 away from our target. For just £35, you can give a girl in sub-Saharan Africa a year of life-changing education - a year that could transform her future. Until 12pm tomorrow, every donation will be doubled, making twice the impact for girls facing educational barriers like poverty and inequality. Thank you to everyone who has already supported this campaign. If you haven’t yet, there’s still time to help us reach our goal! DONATE NOW: https://lnkd.in/dJHv27Fv Give Big, so a Child can Live Big.
Meet Bupe, a PEAS student in Zambia. For her family, financial struggles and unstable employment made accessing education feel out of reach. But since joining the school, Bupe has flourished, proving that with opportunity and support, even the most daunting barriers can be overcome. “My favourite thing about this school is it encourages people, those who have lost hope of not going to school, to continue to come to school. The impact of the school on the community is huge.” Bupe dreams of becoming a nurse, and thanks to PEAS, that dream is now within reach. With your support, we can help girls like Bupe overcome these barriers, stay in school, and transform their lives. This Christmas, through the Big Give, your support can help more girls like Bupe overcome obstacles and unlock their potential. Every donation will be matched, doubling your impact. DONATE HERE: https://lnkd.in/d6Vvcupt Join us in turning challenges into opportunities. Give big, so a child can live big.
The clock is ticking! Only two days left to double your impact through the Big Give: https://lnkd.in/dGtyMv_S Just £35 could provide a girl in sub-Saharan Africa with a year of life-changing education – a year that could transform her future. Don’t wait. Give big so a child can live big.
