Wishing you a joyful Christmas and a festive season filled with happiness from the entire team at Phoenix ME. This year has brought many challenges, particularly for those struggling to access basic necessities like food and shelter, difficulties that are felt even more keenly during the festive season. In light of this, we have chosen to continue foregoing traditional cards or gifts and instead make charitable donations. Our contributions will support these incredible causes: Centrepoint St Mungo's Whitechapel Mission The Electrical Industries Charity Lewan Richards' Stem Cell Treatment A big thank you to these organisations for the positive impact they create.

Phoenix ME Christmas Campaign This year we have collected items in our Head Office and across our projects for the Whitechapel Mission. The Whitechapel Mission supports homelessness across London and offers a day centre, skills training and career advice, activity programmes and specialist support. We have managed to collect a lot of various items from basic food necessities to toiletries that will hopefully go a long way to support the charity across this Christmas and New Year. Additionally, we have donated £2000 to the charity to further support their programmes and facilities.

We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our head office Christmas party in the heart of London! A big thank you to the brilliant Phoenix Events team and Coq D'Argent for making the event so memorable. A special thanks to our buying department for their superb organisation and planning of our Christmas raffle, which helped to raise funds for various charities, including our continued support for Lewan Richards’ stem cell treatment. As Phoenix ME continues to grow, finding a scalable solution has been essential. The implementation of innDex across our projects has been a transformative step in supporting our progress. The platform has revolutionised the way we operate our sites, streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency. From digital inductions and live progress updates to seamless hazard reporting, innDex has enabled us to move from paper-heavy workflows to fully digital operations. This transition has helped Phoenix ME stay at the forefront of innovation in the industry. We were pleased to host the innDex team at one of our London sites to showcase the technology in action and discuss plans for its continued integration and development.

On November 19th, in recognition of International Men’s Day, we were privileged to host Ryan Parke, The Men’s Coach and TEDx speaker, at Head Office for an inspiring talk on male mental health. As part of our ongoing commitment to mental well-being at Phoenix ME, all staff were invited to attend the session, which provided a safe space for honest, informative conversations. Ryan’s talk challenged stigmas and offered practical strategies for rediscovering progress, purpose, and clarity. A standout feature of Ryan’s talk was his ALPHA Framework Series—a practical, evidence-based approach addressing the five key dimensions of male mental health: goal setting, hormonal health, security, motivation, and life purpose. We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn from Ryan and to continue fostering important conversations around mental health and well-being.

Phoenix ME has been a proud participant of Mace’s EDI Forum for the last 2 years. It has been a valuable, innovative, and inspiring journey, on a topic that Phoenix ME is extremely passionate about. Last week, Phoenix ME team members, Bayley Hall, Lauren Rimmer, Sylvia Opara (Chartered FCIPD) and executive, Terry Hussey joined the EDI Executive Briefing, where forum members presented to executives on the importance of driving EDI in our businesses and our industry. Our Chief People Officer, Sylvia Opara, was honoured to present with co-presenter Abby Lash (DGP Logistics Plc), where they shared the forum’s EDI journey since October 2022 to date. Further presenters shared the importance of why board-level focus, leadership and engagement on EDI initiatives is paramount towards delivering meaningful change for our employees, businesses, industry and the communities we work in. Change starts with a focus but is fuelled by commitment. Being part of Mace's Business School EDI Forum allows us to magnify our strategic approach to EDI and enables us to collaborate with other likeminded companies to keep the momentum for change. Thank you to Canute Simpson and all the team at Mace Business School EDI Forum.
