Our Amputee lead physiotherapist Jason Robinson attended the Vascular societies annual scientific meeting held in wonderful Brighton at the end of November, participating in the BACPAR annual conference. He reported back "It was a fully packed schedule with some fantastic speakers over the two days. Particular highlights included the presentation given by Ulla Riis Madsen who discussed the implications of prosthetic provision in palliative care and how this can impact on quality of life. Two talks that offered insight into the early management of clients regarding the use of semi-rigid dressings in post amputation care and an open wound policy in early prosthetic rehabilitation highlighted developments in the management of lower limb amputations showing the benefits these practices can have for the right patients in terms of speeding up the provision of prosthetics, enabling improved quality of life both physically and psychologically. The exhibitors were great and it was nice to get up close with some of the new technology that our clients will be using over the coming years. All in all a fantastic couple of days meeting up with old and new faces, and learning where the industry is going in terms of rehabilitation practices"

We've expanded our coverage in Essex and Suffolk! As well as our neuro clinic location at Anglia Ruskin University Writtle (Chelmsford), we have three domiciliary neuro physiotherapists based in Southend, Chelmsford and Mersea Island. Each member of the team can offer visits within a one hour radius and we're really proud of the work they do. Reach us a hello@physio4you.co.uk. Thanks!
