This represents a substantial challenge but is one we welcome, and are making significant strides towards. We've continued to make good progress in reducing our total emissions in FY24 compared to FY23, by reducing our total carbon footprint per £1m of revenue by 8% to 78.77 tCO2e. 🌟 Exciting News from Myatts Field North! 🌟 Exciting news from Myatts Field North as the onsite café has been taken over by two local chefs from Home Grown Brixton. 🍽️✨ Owners Gill and Portia, who trained under Jamie Oliver, bring decades of experience in opening cafés and restaurants in the area. They’re off to a fantastic start, having hosted a Meet and Greet for residents combined with a Macmillan fundraiser during their second week, which filled the café to capacity. Initial feedback from staff and residents has been overwhelmingly positive, and the steady flow of customers paints a hopeful picture for the future. Sam Mason, Community Development Manager at MFN, said, “The corner café at Myatts is now the beating heart of the estate; it’s the hub around which our community revolves, a shared space where residents can enjoy time together, get some work done, or grab a coffee on their way to the Tube. 📢 New Partnership! 🏠 We’re thrilled to announce that Preferred Homes Limited (PHL), a registered provider backed by Nuveen Real Estate, has appointed Pinnacle Group (Pinnacle) to manage over 500 extra care apartments across an initial eight UK locations. PHL creates 100 per cent affordable extra care housing for rent, providing local authorities with a pipeline of accommodation for older people who have care needs.
