When you’ve worked at Pizza Pilgrims for 5 years we give our teams a 4 week sabbatical fully paid, as a token of our appreciation for their hard work and dedication. Here’s Mark, Simon, and Antimo. Three of our longest serving General Managers about to board their plane where they’ll be spending their sabbatical in South America. Needless to say - they’ll be enjoying every minute. And very well deserved 👌.

Our brand new Comms and Learning app went live today, powered by our friends All Gravy. It’s been such an amazing project. Big shout out to Tali Greenberg Rasmussen, Jonatan Marc Rasmussen, Frederik Gabriel, Hayley Kyle, Sonja Dickers, Shaw Morgan, Leanne Gunson, and the magicians behind the scenes. After a sleepless night, over 50% activation rate in the first hour started the day perfectly. It’s a huge enhancement to how we connect, learn, and digitalise the culture we’re so proud of 🫶 Pizza Pilgrims

Jessica Rowe is getting ready for an 8,000 mile row across the Pacific Ocean from Peru to Australia. Yes - you read that right... 8,000 miles! We had our General Managers Huddle this week and invited Jess to come and tell us all about it. Needless to say, she left us inspired and a little speechless. The current training programme, logistics, and the hurdles they're preparing for which they think will take 6 months. Her last row was 3,000 miles, racing across the Atlantic. Add another 5,000 miles on to that, It's going to be an amazing achievement. 12 days till launch 🚀 Over the last 5 months we've been working in partnership with All Gravy to launch our new communications and learning platform at Pilgrims. But that's not just it. The brief at the start of the project was to build the worlds best team engagement app - that's been the focus on every weekly project meeting. Crafting something special & challenging the norm. 🍕 A new home for Joshua, our AI team mate 🍕 Reducing our comms & learning apps from 3 to 1 🍕 Digital learning pathway, with game-style quizzes 🍕 Customised to-do lists 🍕 Easy onboarding, creating a sense of belonging for every new Pilgrim 🍕 Rota and shift broadcasts 🍕 Events, groups, chats 🍕 Detailed reporting by person, team and area ... and bucket loads more. This is Andrea. 👨🍳🍕 Joined us about 3 years ago, tail end of the madness of Covid. Came in with bags of experience 💪, truckload more character 😂 and endless skill 🫡 Had a bumpy HC training period with us during which nobody covered themselves in glory. 😬🤨 Even yours truly just about gave up on him. 😟 And yet. Here's Kara. She's just been promoted to General Manager of our pizzeria at Camden. That's the home of our very own Pizza Academy.
