  • 🏡 With 2025 set to be a pivotal year for housing, PfP welcomes the Government’s commitment to transforming housing and Communities - but to drive real change, we need a bold, long-term plan as stated in our submission for the Comprehensive Spending Review. We’re calling for:   ✅ Investment in housing – More funding for social and affordable homes to address the 1.3M+ people waiting for a social home. ✅ Inclusive Communities – A holistic approach that meets the needs of all generations. ✅ Integration of health & wellbeing – Reducing NHS strain by embedding health in new developments. ✅ Investment in skills – Support tackling the construction skills gap to future-proof housebuilding and meet net-zero targets.   With 160,000 children in temporary accommodation and homelessness rising, urgent action is needed. We stand ready to partner with Government to deliver the change our Communities deserve.   #HousingCrisis #AffordableHomes #UKHousing #CSR2025 #Communities

  • Independent homes supporting homeless in Bristol 🏡 We're proud to mark a significant milestone in our mission to support vulnerable people with the opening of seven new one-bedroom modular homes at Stonebridge Park, Bristol. These homes provide a vital step towards independent living for Customers who have found themselves homeless, offering security, dignity, and tailored support. For over 20 years, PfP has provided supported living spaces at Stonebridge Park, helping individuals rebuild their lives. Now, in partnership with Agile Homes, we’re expanding opportunities for independent living in a supportive Community. Rachel Crownshaw, our Group Managing Director for Communities, shares: "These homes will give people their own front door and everything they need inside. With support workers on hand, we’ll help them get back on their feet and move towards permanent accommodation." With 1 in 5 people fearing homelessness could impact them or someone they know within a year, support like this is more crucial than ever. • 🏠 Plans for next generation of new towns 🏠   The Government has made housebuilding a primary goal, announcing 100 potential locations for the next generation of new towns - projects that could benefit hundreds of thousands of People and families across Britain.   Greg Reed, Group CEO of Places for People, welcomed the announcement, stating:   “Today’s announcement on new towns is incredibly welcome. Building sustainable new housing projects at this scale across the country – just as we are doing with the Gilston Area project in East Herts for 10,000 vital new homes, infrastructure and services – will create jobs, boost the economy and most importantly deliver intergenerational Communities where everyone can thrive.   Labour’s ambition and strategic approach to tackling the housing crisis continues to impress, but none of this can happen without a sharpened national focus on green construction skills. Our dedicated training academy, PFP Thrive, is driving this agenda forward for our sector but there must be sustained investment from Government to futureproof the workforce and get these homes built at scale and pace. We’ve recently made this recommendation and more to Government and now eagerly await its Comprehensive Spending Review later this year.   We especially welcome Government’s commitment today to ensuring the right infrastructure is rubberstamped into plans for new towns before spades hit the ground. These projects should put people first and Community engagement, provision of GPs, transport links, shops, schools and green space must be at the heart of any new such project.   Today is just one piece of the puzzle and the housing crisis remains deep-rooted and multi-faceted. Plans unveiled here must be followed up with a bold, long-term and integrated approach to tackling the housing, health and social care challenges that continue to plague the UK.   Delivering new towns is no mean feat. There will be bumps in the road and Government needs trusted and experienced partners to realise its vision.”   🤲 At PfP, we have a rich history of building new towns and stand ready to help deliver quality homes, smart infrastructure, and thriving Communities.   #NewTowns #UKHousing #NewHomes #HousingCrisis #Housebuilding

  • Bringing joy to Bristol, one green space at a time.🌿 Dalrymple Park in St Pauls came alive with energy as local residents, Customers, Councillor of Ashley Ward, Avon and Somerset Police, and Bristol City Council’s Parks and Community Safety teams dug in together for the first Community work session. With the incredible support of the fledgling group at Dalrymple Park and Bristol City Council’s landscape team, tools, and machinery, a six-month regeneration journey led by the Community began! It was fantastic to see this collaboration in action, even catching the attention of Bristol24/7, who captured the story of residents taking the lead in reclaiming and revitalising their green space. Teamwork at its best! 💪🌱 #BecauseCommunityMatters #WeAreCommunity #CommunityAction #CommunityRegeneration #GreenSpaces #Bristol

  • Tackling the challenges facing social housing 🏡 A roundtable at Westminster Hall brought together key voices from the housing sector, including PfP, to discuss the future of Registered Providers in an increasingly complex landscape. According to Clarion Housing Group Index 2023, over half of housing association tenants feel worse off than a year ago, highlighting the rising financial pressures on Customers and the need for housing providers to do more. At PfP, we recognise that safe, affordable homes are just the start and this discussion reinforced the urgent need for collaboration, sustainable funding, and clear role definitions to ensure we can continue to support Communities effectively. Key topics included: 🔹 How housing associations can evolve to meet modern challenges. 🔹 The role of local authorities and policymakers in delivering essential services. 🔹 Funding solutions to support Customers facing cost of living pressures. 🔹 Strengthening partnerships with the NHS and mental health services. As we continue to evolve and collaborate with partners across the sector, we remain committed to creating thriving, supportive Communities. #BecauseCommunityMatters #WeAreCommunity #SocialHousing #HousingPolicy #BetterHomes #MakingADifference #Changemakers #Collaboration
