"Working with Plan is simply amazing for me. The end result of my day-to-day work is in some way benefiting the rights of children and young people - and that is one of my best encouragements for working here."

About Plan International
We’re an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We strive for a just world, working with children, young people, our supporters and partners. In a time when the rights of girls and vulnerable groups are continuously challenged by regressive policies, this work has never been more important.

Plan International was founded over 80 years ago to promote and protect the rights of children. Today, we're active in over 70 countries. We empower children and young people, especially girls, to work to tackle the root causes of discrimination. We drive change in practice and policy at local, national and global levels. We work with communities to prepare for and respond to crises and to overcome adversity. We support the safe and successful progression of children from birth to adulthood.
How we're transforming the lives of 100 million girlsThis is how Girls Get Equal
Girls everywhere are undervalued, undermined and underestimated. But we’re calling time on inequality. Last year we launched the new youth-led campaign for gender equality: Girls Get Equal. It puts young feminist activists at the front of the movement, supporting girls’ power, voice, participation and leadership in over 40 countries. We will not stop until #GirlsGetEqual power, freedom and representation.
