#ICYMI, Ocado Retail has expanded its use of our Digital Link QR codes to over 60 food, drink, and household product ranges! 🍏 Consumers can scan the codes with their smartphones to access bespoke, detailed product information through a dedicated landing page. Great to see the news of our letter spreading! 📩 Along with Ocado Retail and Co-op, we are among 60 businesses urging the government to scrap the "return to retail" requirements for the deposit return scheme. In our letter to Mary Creagh CBE MP earlier this week, we call on the UK government to set the deposit return scheme up for success by allowing and encouraging digital innovation within the regulations. 📣 The news is out! 📣 Over 60 businesses, including Ocado Retail, Co-op, and Ecosurety, have joined us in urging the Government to embrace digital innovation in Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) legislation. In an open letter to the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Minister for Nature) Mary Creagh CBE MP, we’re calling for a move beyond the “return-to-retail” model to include modern digital solutions. This would allow consumers to recycle their plastic bottles at home, scan them digitally, and still reclaim their deposits, offering a more convenient and accessible system for everyone.
