It’s all go this week for POTR - in addition to our launch in Japan supported by Scottish Development International we are also exhibiting at Top Drawer London for the first time at Olympia London Sunday 14th - Tuesday 16th 🚀🌿 Come find us in the Launch Pad Zone at stand B47 to talk all things horticulture, sustainable design and origami. We’ll be taking orders for our brand new range of POTR Self-watering Planters as well as our patent pending Letterbox Vase. You’ll also find us at the The Better Trends Company display space as part of their curation of product trends for 2024. We are looking to meet retailers of all different sizes and are also open to custom collaborations. To support us at Top Drawer London we have enlisted the expert support of Damien Ladwa who will be manning the POTR stand. Damien and I met at London Design Festival last year and have since been working together - great to have him on board! GSA graduate and current member of teaching staff within the Product Design Engineering (PDE) department, Andrew Flynn (PDE 2014) talks to BBC Scotland about securing a new distribution deal in Japan for the world’s first self-watering origami plant pot. Founded in 2019 alongside fellow graduate Martin Keane (Product Design Engineering 2014) POTR has since secured a significant crowdfunding target and won a whole raft of prizes including: 'Scotland's Start-up of the Year', 'Scotland's Green Start Up of the Year', a Zero Waste Scotland Award for 'Most Circular Business' and £100k at the Scottish EDGE awards 2022. Following interest from Japanese importers and distributors POTR worked with Scottish Development International and will now officially launch its products in Japan on Saturday.
