We are delighted to name our new Next Gen Board. Sixteen aspiring under 35s have been chosen from across the industry to work in tandem and collaboratively with the main PPA board to help shape the future of the publishing sector. Sajeeda Merali, CEO, PPA commented: “The ambition of the Next Gen Board programme has been to break down traditional structures and empower a new generation of diverse voices to shape the future of our sector. Now, our inaugural Board has been in post for 18 months – they’ve collaborated on various projects – from celebrating the power of communities and showcasing our industry to those at the start of their professional careers to championing best-practice hiring – they’ve covered a lot of ground. Katie Vanneck-Smith appointed as PPA Chair. Hearst UK’s CEO has been appointed by the Board of Directors, and will take up the position in January 2025, following the three-year tenure of Harmsworth Media Chair, Nina Wright. PPA CEO, Sajeeda Merali, comments: “I’d like to thank Nina for her tenure as Chair over the last three years.
