Updates

  • PREAH has kicked off the New Year with a focus on Health & Safety. On our return to work today from our annual Christmas shutdown, we held our “January Stop for Safety” discussions at each of our live project sites. Our Site Management teams, including Directors, attended to welcome back our operatives and subcontractors and to stress the importance of safety as we resume work.   These sessions, including a review of the hazards to watch out for on returning to work after a break, are an excellent opportunity to engage directly with our teams and set the tone for a productive and safe year ahead. Director, Iain Hetherington, shared his thoughts on this long-standing tradition: “The January Stop for Safety is something I’ve personally championed for over a decade. It’s encouraging to see how engaged the entire workforce is, from management to site operatives. While January is often a time to set goals and ambitions, it can also be a challenging month for some team members. This initiative not only highlights Health & Safety but also focuses on wellbeing and checking in with one another after the holiday period.”   We are proud of the PREAH team for their ongoing dedication to Health & Safety and, together, we will make 2025 a safe and successful year!   #Health #Safety #Wellbeing #BetterBuildingServices

  • We are pleased to share a significant milestone achieved on our latest M&E office fit out project in Edinburgh in collaboration with our valued client, GM Projects (Scotland) Ltd. The safe installation of several air conditioning condensers onto the roof of the building was executed seamlessly, with careful coordination to minimise disruption to the people inside.   A special thank you goes to our Site Supervisor, Stephen Bateman, and our dedicated supply chain partners for their support in ensuring this lift was carried out successfully. This accomplishment reflects our commitment to safety, precision, and, most importantly, client satisfaction.   #ProjectMilestone #Teamwork #BetterBuildingServices

  • We are pleased to announce the successful completion of three Farmfoods shop refurbishments. These projects, located in Duddingston (Edinburgh), Cumbernauld, and Coatbridge, involved significant electrical and mechanical works, contributing to the transformation of each retail space.   Project Highlights: Electrical & Mechanical Works: Our team has been responsible for the installation of lighting, small power, AC, ventilation, and minor plumbing. The work is carried out through a period of night shifts initially (to ensure the store remains operational each day), followed by day shift works during a short closure period. Efficient Turnaround: Each upgrade completed via a fast-track programme. Store Transformation: The upgrades result in a notable improvement in shop brightness and modernisation, energy efficiency and enhancing the overall customer experience.   This is a valued repeat contract with Farmfoods, showcasing our ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality results. We are proud to have contributed to the continued success of this partnership and we look forward to many more collaborations in the near future. #mechanical #electrical #BetterBuildingServices

  • Our Facilities Management team recently demonstrated exceptional dedication during an urgent after-hours call to repair an outdoor A/C unit. Despite the challenges of working at night and in the dark, our skilled engineers resolved the issue efficiently and effectively. We are grateful to our FM Division mobile engineers for consistently going above and beyond to support our clients, no matter the time or circumstances. #FacilitiesManagement #Service #Maintenance #BetterBuildingServices

  • We are proud to share that our Directors, Gerry Savage and Iain Hetherington, accompanied by valued partners Hawthorne Boyle Ltd and MPACT Group, attended The Chef's Table, a prestigious black-tie event hosted by The Beatson Cancer Charity, on Friday. Held at the stunning Kelvingrove Art Gallery in Glasgow, the evening brought together an array of Michelin Star chefs to create an unforgettable dining experience, all in support of raising vital funds for cancer research. Our thanks go to the events team at the Beatson for such a fantastically organised event. It was a truly unique and memorable night for a cause very close to our hearts. #CancerCharity #TheChefsTable #BetterBuildingServices
