#NewVacancyAlert We are hiring a Quality Manager at Precision Aluminium Casting & Engineering Ltd. For more information or an informal chat, please reach out to Abhishek Kumar SINGH or I *Agencies, I know you are keen however if I have not approached you already, we are not looking for your help on this one at the moment. • We are pleased to announce that we are continuing to invest in our business by upgrading our X-ray capability from our ageing real time radiographic testing unit, to the latest integrated digital and wet film technology. Radiographic testing is a non-destructive testing method used to examine the internal structure of manufactured components and identify any flaws or defects for comparison to against set acceptance standards. We expect this upgrade to be completed in Q4 2024 with a view to being ready for operation in Q1 2025, following site acceptance testing and operator training. This invest will allow PACE to modernise and enhance its existing NDT checks and avoid any potential future obsolescence issues with the current unit. If you would like more information regarding the onsite and sub-contract NDT services that can be provided with our castings, please contact our sales team via sales@pace-ltd.com. At EEG we have made strong progress towards more sustainable operations, however as a group we acknowledge our Scope 1 and 2 emissions remain high compared with other industries. In the coming years, we will continue to develop and prioritise our roadmap to net zero. In 2023 our scope 1 & 2 emissions reduced by 10.9% year-on-year, and by 15.6% year-on-year in terms of our carbon intensity metric (tCO2e per £million revenue). This indicates that although the group business is growing, our emissions are not. 2023 was a year of small, medium and large actions aimed at reducing our emissions. These included integrating the EDL Lymington business into PACE and not continuing to lease the Lymington site, reducing and/or replacing ageing CNC equipment at the PACE and Fox-VPS sites, replacing ageing heat treatment ovens, continuing to replace fluorescent lighting with LED lighting across the factories, as well as optimising heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems. 2024 will see the introduction of a new electric kiln at our PACE business, an assessment of the impact of solar panels at the different sites within the group, improving insulation, as well as the ongoing maintenance and discipline regarding efficiency such as checking airlines for leaks and keeping doors and curtains closed during winter. Our focused efforts in 2023 combined with the support of our employees, has enabled us to make great progress in understanding and managing our CO2 emissions and we look forward to continuing this in 2024 and beyond. At FOX-VPS we are making progress towards more sustainable operations, however we acknowledge our Scope 1 and 2 emissions remain high compared with other industries. In the coming years, we will continue to develop and prioritise our roadmap to net zero. In 2023 our scope 1 & 2 emissions increased by 12.3% due to a 14% increase in turnover. However this means that in terms of our carbon intensity metric (tCO2e per £million revenue) there was a 1.8% decrease year-on-year. There was a mix of actions in 2023 aimed at reducing our emissions. These included reducing and/or replacing ageing CNC equipment, continuing to replace fluorescent lighting with LED lighting within the factory, and optimising heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems. In 2024 we will conduct an assessment of the impact of solar panels, improving insulation, as well as the ongoing maintenance and discipline regarding efficiency such as checking airlines for leaks and keeping doors and curtains closed during winter. Our focused efforts in 2023 combined with the support of our employees, has enabled us to make some progress in continuing to understand and manage our CO2 emissions and we look forward to continuing this in 2024 and beyond. In the coming years, we will continue to develop and prioritise our roadmap to net zero. In 2023 our scope 1 & 2 emissions reduced by 13% year-on-year, and by 17% year-on-year in terms of our carbon intensity metric (tCO2e per £million revenue). This indicates that although our business is growing, our emissions are not. 2023 was a year of small, medium and large actions aimed at reducing our emissions. • We are excited to announce that we have just placed an order to replace our aging gas-powered kiln with a new electric version, which should become operational Q3/Q4 2024. Electric kilns bring advantages over gas powered kilns such as: - consistently achieving higher thermal efficiency - enables the kiln to be partly or wholly powered by renewable energy sources - achieving more precise and consistent temperature control. We regularly review our equipment against the needs of our customers and own our carbon reduction plans, and work with our parent company Enhanced Engineering Group Limited to maintain an investment plan to support the business long into the future. By removing scope 1 emissions from a gas kiln and replacing them with scope 2 energy sources we will see a favourable impact on our annual tCO2e emissions, which helps us do our part in moving to a net zero world. Please contact us if you have any requirements for investment (lost wax), sand, or gravity die castings. If you require castings to be supplied fully machined then our inhouse machineshop or our sister company FOX-VPS LTD can support.

  • Members of the PACE & Enhanced Engineering Group Limited management team gathered today as part of our annual strategy review. One element of the day was updating the team on our group-wide Corporate Social Responsibility Policy and our progress and plans for reducing our tCO2e emissions in 2024/2025. Involving, informing and aligning the management team ensures the direction of the business is agreed and understood, and in April we will be updating all of our employees during our quarterly 'all-hands' briefing. Enhanced Engineering and its subsidiaries work as a team, but today we want to highlight the positive impact that comes from the women within our team. With women working across our production, quality, procurement, HR and finance functions they bring considerable benefits & contributions to our businesses. Women represent 11% of our employees which is below the estimated industry level of 26% in manufacturing. We are looking at ways to increase this number, and ensuring that working within Enhanced Engineering Group is an appealing prospect for all individuals. Happy #internationalwomensday2024 to all women within our organisation, at our customers, and our suppliers.  FOX-VPS LTD Precision Aluminium Casting & Engineering Ltd
