  • Join us for the Professional Muslim Institute Networking Dinner, featuring an exclusive conversation with Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, who will discuss her thought-provoking new book, Muslims Don’t Matter. In her book, Baroness Warsi draws on her unique experiences both at the heart of British politics and within Muslim communities to confront the alarming rise of Islamophobia in the UK. The book examines the recent surge in anti-Muslim hate, including the tragic murders of three Muslim grandfathers in separate attacks across England—each victim targeted solely for their faith. From the far-right violence in the summer of 2024 to the animosity faced by Muslims in public life during the Gaza conflict, Baroness Warsi exposes how Islamophobia has taken root in British society, often unnoticed or unchallenged by many. As the first Muslim to serve in the UK Cabinet, Baroness Warsi boldly confronts this growing prejudice, urging us to unite and push back against a culture that tolerates Islamophobia. She will share her reflections on the recent rise in anti-Muslim racism, the fear it has instilled within British Muslim communities, and the difficult question of whether Britain remains a welcoming home. Join us for this crucial discussion on the future of British identity and the imperative to stand together against hate. All are welcome, but booking is essential. Don’t miss this important event!
