📰 Andrew Mellor, Partner at PRP, is featured in today's Architects’ Journal piece on the Government's response to the Grenfell Tower Inquiry and the industry's reaction to their reforms. 'The proposed implementation plan over a three year period appears to be realistic, and the focus on the existing improvement commitments is very sensible given the existing immediate capacity of the industry and regulators to take on more regulatory change.' 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dEUbGkHR #firesafety #grenfellinquiry #architecture

First day of our 🌍 ‘Think Globally, Act Locally: Air Pollution’ student workshop kicked off. Together with a group of architecture and landscape students from Wrocław Universities, we will try to tackle the pressing issue of air pollution in cities. Today session has been opened by Scott Sanderson, Marcin Puchala, Lea Kazanecka-Olejnik, Martyna Dobosz and myself. It was followed by great lectures delivered by Angeli Ganoo-Fletcher on ‘Strategic landscape principles’ and Carolina Ipes who’s given some insights on dealing with air pollution at master planning stage. For the next four days, together with PRP staff (Karina Orlińska, Aleksandra Matczak, Anastasia Vasilyeva, Dogus Deli, Michał Romanów) we will be exploring how masterplanning, architecture, and landscape design can create healthier urban environments, as well as gain insight from industry professionals and international experts on this critical issue. This isn't just theoretical – the ideas can lead to potentially start of real conversations with city officials and have some impact on changes in Wroclaw. Please come and see the final results of the workshop! The final presentation will take place: 🗓️ Friday, 21st February at 5:00pm 📍 SARP, ul. Olawska 21, Wroclaw, Poland You can’t miss it! #PRPThinkGloballyActLocally #StudentWorkshop #Wroclaw #Poland Politechnika Wrocławska Uniwersytet Przyrodniczy we Wrocławiu Architektura&Biznes
