Things are ramping up with the Emerging Occ Psychs mentoring initiative now that we are accepting applications for mentees! If you recently graduated from an OP-related MSc course and would like some support navigating the industry, you can apply to receive a mentor by completing the application form linked in the comments. Spaces are limited and assigned on a first come first served basis, and we are already receiving a strong demand since opening applications yesterday, so please don't delay! We are delighted to announce that MENTEE applications to the Emerging Occ Psychs initiative are now OPEN! The EOP is a mentoring initiative designed for individuals who graduated from OP-related MSc's in 2024 or earlier (if you are a current student, email us at team@psychologyatwork.blog to get early access to next year's cohort). Places are limited and assigned on a first come first served basis. Mentors very generously offer their time for free, so only apply if you can fulfil your obligations as a mentee and meet with your mentors online monthly over the next 9 months. The application form takes at least 15 minutes to complete and asks your name, email address and LinkedIn URL, so please have these ready before starting. These will be used to pair you with your mentor. Your application will not be saved until all questions are answered! We will be conducting an evaluation for the initiative and will ask all mentees to complete a questionnaire in June 2025. By applying to the EOP, you are agreeing to completing this evaluation to help us improve the EOP further. To apply to be an EOP mentee, click the MS Forms link in the comments.

🎉 Announcements! We’ve just launched our recent blog written by Madhuri Rajkumar, on her experience being a mentee in last year's Psychology At Work’s ‘Emerging Occ Psychs’ mentoring cohort ! ✨ What You’ll Find: ---> Her experience making the best out of these mentoring sessions ---> Some useful tips for you to leverage time spent with your mentor ---> How to set yourself up for a successful mentor-mentee relationship The Emerging Occ Psychs initiative aims to support your journey by offering events and mentoring to recent graduates of MSc programmes in occupational psychology and related disciplines. We open applications for mentees each October and operate on a first come first served basis. ✨HEADS UP: We will be opening the application process for mentees, for this year's cohort, tomorrow. Signing up for mentoring is a wise step that shows your dedication to improving yourself, focussing on your goals, and striving to achieve them. Read the blog to learn more! If you've got a spare 5 minutes and want to help with Jasmine Meacock with her research into work-email incivility, click the link below to take the survey!
Hello LinkedIn community! I am currently conducting research as part of my dissertation for my MSc in Occupational and Organisational Psychology at the University of Sussex. As part of my dissertation, I am exploring the factors contributing to work-email incivility, particularly focusing on the role of negative emotions ysuch as anger. This study seeks to understand what drives individuals to initiate uncivil behaviours in email communication. I am inviting full or part-time employees who are 18 years or older to participate in my study. Participants must use work email at their job. The link to the study is below and will take approximately 5 minutes to complete: https://lnkd.in/ePkuPZyv Your participation, along with any comments or shares of this post, would be extremely appreciated as it would greatly contribute to the success of this research. Thank you for the support. #occupationalpsychology #dissertation #businesspsychology #email #HR
