It was an honour to represent QE again at the Acts of Remembrance in Crediton which took place on Sunday. A wreath was laid by our Head Boy and Head Girl on behalf of our students and I laid a wreath on behalf of staff. To be part of this event with representatives from across the community is an absolute privilege. (Photos by Alan Quick, Crediton Courier)

A successful school in the heart of Devon
About us
QE is a successful school with a rich and proud history, where students make good and outstanding progress. Spread across two separate sites, the school currently houses around 1,200 students - 150 of whom are in its exceptional Sixth Form. The Barnfield Campus, with its beautiful grounds and views across to Dartmoor, houses Years 7 and 8. This safe and secure environment allows younger students to thrive and comfortably find their feet, as they adjust to secondary education in a calm and friendly atmosphere. The Western Road Campus houses Years 9 to 13 in an eclectic mix of buildings. Queen Elizabeth’s aims to get the absolute best out of staff and students alike. This is achieved by providing a harmonious environment, based upon the principle of mutual respect. Our approach to learning builds students’ confidence - we work hard to ensure that each child is treated as a unique individual and given the support they need to make progress. With excellent teaching at the heart, our aim is to cultivate happy and successful learners. To arrange a visit, please contact us on 01363 773401 or email reception@qe.devon.sch.uk

Following the superb work completed on Day 2 of our #InvestmentWeek on Knowing Our Students, QE staff were inspired on Day 3 by a presentation on inclusive education and a deliberate practice session on restorative conversations by #MohamedAbdallah from The Difference. Thank you to Mohamed and all #QE staff for embracing the opportunities over the investment days to ensure we as a staff are a little bit better every day and the work we do helps our students to flourish. #QE #TedWraggInstitute

Congratulations to everyone who received their A-Level results today. Spirits were high as over 90% of students who applied for undergraduate degree courses had places confirmed at their first-choice university. A good number of other students plan to travel, go into employment or have gained apprenticeship places locally. Student course choices after A Levels are diverse and range across academic disciplines this year from medical sciences to the arts and humanities. Practical and applied degree training courses remain popular with QE Sixth Formers, in everything from musical theatre, physiotherapy to sports coaching and science. University destinations are similarly diverse with students taking up places from Plymouth to Durham, York and everywhere in between. QE Sixth Form is the place to be to make great progress in your Post-16 education. Applications are welcome for our September 2024 intake, come along to the enrolment day on Monday 2nd September between 1.30pm and 3.00pm at the Western Road campus. #ResultsDay2024 #BeQE
