About us
Queen’s Students' Union (QSU) is run by student representatives elected by students, for students. We are responsible for representing the 25,000 students at Queen's, enabling them to get the most out of their time at Queen’s University. We are the largest single-campus Union in Ireland, a top 3 UK Students’ Union (WhatUni Choice Awards 2024) and we are currently ranked 1st for Student Satisfaction (out of 108 universities) in the International Student Barometer 2023/24. Students elect a team of Student Officers to represents them and their views, and campaign to change the things students want - be it on their course, their School, on campus, in the SU, the University, the community and beyond. Services areas and support include: SU Advice, SU Clubs & Societies, SU Enterprise, SU Volunteer and SU Voice. Plus, The Union Bar, The Union Shop, bookable rooms and areas where you can relax, revise, play pool and catch up with friends.

This semester, QUB Trampoline Club hosted the annual Irish Trampolining Intervarsities in Belfast. This event was attended by over 200 students spanning across seven universities. Student Officer Semester Update Your Student Officers have had a busy semester working to amplify student voices and improve university life, here's a brief update on how your Officers have represented you: 👉 Lobbying MPs and elected representatives on issues important to students, which has even seen SU President, Kieran, attend a Lobbying Day at Westminster. They continue to call for change surrounding: housing concerns; student fees; University funding models; the MaSN cap; and co-operative housing 👉 Representing students’ views to University Senior Management on a wide range of areas, like; the QUB academic year; a QUB institution-wide welcome; and QUB ethical investments 👉 Working on the priorities they outlined in their Plan of Work, including: drugs and alcohol harm reduction; the cost-of-living crisis; environmental sustainability; student mental health; student voice in the University This is only a snapshot!
