Seeing out another year of RANT Community Forum's in style with the support of the team at Netskope, last night we dived headlong into a RANTy panel discussion with the combined expertise of Andy Aplin, Jia Fu and Tom Burton leading the charge on the panel, tackling the topic of "Edge of Confusion: Are You Chasing the Right Security Solution?" cloistered away in the cosy depths of our favourite London pub haunt. Though we still have a few dinners between now and Christmas, this marks our last pub session until the new year. So on behalf of the whole RANT team, I'd like to pass on a huge thank you to all those speakers, sponsors and attendees who have helped make each one, a delight. Regular readers (or even casual profile picture viewers) will know there is nothing I love more than a dinner with a good view, so last night's collaboration with the team over at OneTrust on another RANT Community dinner overlooking the iconic beauty of London's skyline was an excellent way to spend an evening. "Third Parties and Beyond: Navigating the Growing Complexities of Third-Party Risk Management" was the topic of the hour, so passionately debated around the table and expertly led by Carl Broadley and Chlōe Dellow before indulging in a sumptuous menu fit for kings. Braving the (un)Holy trinity of rain, snow and ice present across Manchester last night, it was fantastic to see so many of our northern RANT Community members for a very festive evening of drinks, dinner and discussion with our amazing partner Netwrix Corporation at our FINAL Manchester session of the year. Huddled in an underground cocktail bar like some cyber-specific gang of plotters, it was a delight to see so many of our RANT Community out in force to argue about "Using Technology to Build the Human Firewall: How to Better Scale Your Data Security Program" with our truly amazing partner, Metomic at last night's Takeover in London. A massive thank you to Rich V., Daniela Somerscales and Laura Penhallow for bringing your expertise to the panel discussion and the irrepressible, ungovernable and absolutely lovely folk who joined the audience and made the discussion as vibrant and full of fun as it was. "Stop Wasting Money on Security" was the topic of the day at last night's RANT Community dinner in Manchester, so expertly led by the perfect pairing of Jon Mattey and Stephen Gailey and so passionately debated by an excellent room full of our northern members up in the clouds of Manchester's highest dining room.
