The NCSC’s 2024 Annual Review underscores a growing disparity between the cyber threats the UK faces and its ability to address them effectively. Cyber attackers are becoming more innovative, focusing on higher-value targets, with the most severe cyber attacks tripling in frequency over the past year. At the same time, many organisations fail to implement existing cyber security guidance and frameworks, leaving the UK increasingly exposed to sophisticated threats. We stand with the NCSC in urging collective responsibility to strengthen the UK’s cyber resilience. Businesses must acknowledge that safeguarding the nation’s cyber security is a shared duty. We support efforts to establish the right market incentives and allocate responsibility to the appropriate parties to achieve meaningful progress. Our collaboration with industry partners to advance the NCSC’s goals, alongside our contributions to global cyber security and resilience initiatives, is vital in addressing these challenges both nationally and internationally.
