Livingston Designer Outlet, the largest outlet shopping destination in Scotland, has reported record-breaking sales for Black Friday week. Saturday November 30 was a historic date for the Outlet, as it welcomed the highest number of guests it has ever seen. Nicky Lovell, head of outlets and business development at Global Mutual commented: “We’ve had an incredibly successful year at Livingston Designer Outlet. When we came on as asset managers in 2023, we wanted to grow the store offering at Livingston but also wanted to understand exactly what the customers, near and afar, were looking for. Churchill Group, West One Shopping Centre and Carrot team up to reduce waste. From March 31, 2025, the “Simpler Recycling” legislation means that businesses must have a minimum number of recyclable waste streams presented for recycling or composting, to improve national recycling rates. However, effective waste segregation in large retail premises is complex with a high waste-stream contamination risk. Cheryl Anne Cooper, national operations director at Churchill Group, said: “We’re passionate about doing the right thing and better waste management is exactly that. We hope that this platform will help West One far exceed its compliance obligations as retailers strive to outperform each other." Read more here:

Saint + Sofia opens first bricks-and-mortar store in Covent Garden’s Seven Dials Shaftesbury Capital PLC has announced that Saint and Sofia, the digitally native, contemporary womenswear brand, has opened its debut bricks-and-mortar store in Covent Garden’s Seven Dials. Located at 35 Monmouth Street, the independent London-based fashion house is the latest brand to select the destination for its first-ever store, joining Covent Garden’s extensive roster of physical debuts.
