We were thrilled to have the Italian Trade Agency visit us at Rise London last week! A delegation of 10+ founders from Italy as part of an exchange accelerator program supported by the Italian Embassy joined us for a presentation from Tony Margiotta on our proposition and an overview of our London ecosystem. We were also joined by Rise members Monia 🎟️📈(Roots Funding) and Luca Bertozzi (BKN301) who took the stage to share their journey as founders and their experience in London’s innovation scene. A two-day event where fintechs, financial institutions, and other industry participants prototyped use cases on top of a 'platform for innovation’ developed during the UK RLN Experimentation Phase. Taking the stage, Ekaterina Marshall and Simon Crompton presented the Barclays use case, showcasing a prototype of accounts supervision functionality. We were proud to sponsor the 2024 FTT Fintech Festival, a two-day event which brought together industry leaders, innovators and visionaries. 🗓️ On day 1, from the festival floor we kicked off the fun with our Rise FinTech Mentoring sessions. Dimitrios Emmanoulopoulos, (Barclays) took the AI Transformation stage, offering valuable insights into the practical applications of traditional AI within financial services. Next, our very own Brindley White joined the Embedded Finance Technology panel, discussing solutions to enhance customer experience and referencing our Innovation Spotlight Series. 🗓️ On day 2, taking the Payments stage was our Head of Fintech Scouting, Charlotte Kanagasabapathy, discussing digital payments and how this space will rapidly evolve. At the AI Transformation stage, Andrew Elphick, our Head of Fintech Strategy and Open Innovation, presented success stories from the Rise ecosystem. He highlighted how start-ups are forming effective partnerships with established institutions, including Barclays. A packed room at Rise London for this month's AI Breakfast Club by Barclays Eagle Labs and Twin Path Ventures. The AI Breakfast Club is a meetup for fellow founders and key industry leaders to chat about the latest in AI. At each meetup you'll experience on-stage discussions and start-up demos followed by networking. This month, we heard a fantastic fireside chat with Bloomberg Journalist Parmy Olson on her book “Supremacy: AI, ChatGPT, and the Race that Will Change the World". Also joining the stage was AI first start-ups Sagittal.ai, Byne and Sqwish who delivered insightful demos.
