About us
The longest running comedy club out of London was established in February 1994. Opened by David Perkin, originally on Newton Street Manchester, now ran by his daughter Jessica Toomey in its home of the last 2- years on Oldham Street in the vibrant Northern Quarter. The Frog and Bucket is most famous for its Beat The Frog, amateur act competition. Which over the years has discovered talent such as John Bishop, Peter Kay, Johnny Vegas and Jason Manford. The intimate cosy venue has been the first gig for so many of the Norths comics and the history is felt in the venue that adds to the character and atmosphere. As well as the Beat the Frog show we also have Thursday night Live, the Barrel of Laughs show on a Friday and Saturday, monthly Lip Sync Battles, home of Laughing Cows comedy, work in progress show, Black comedy night plus regular touring shows - shows most nights The Frog and Bucket is a purposely designed cabaret style comedy club which is easily adaptable for any layout. Refurbished in Autumn 2016 its ideal for any number of events, seating from 200 cabaret style. Manchester has a balcony with private bar than can hold approximately 60 people for which we can privately cater for. We also have a well equipped and adaptable catering team too We have worked with many corporate clients over the years as well as provide comedy workshops and courses. Our team can help you put together any event to a high standard or source acts for your event. We also provide branded roadshows and franchises.
