Short breaks at Ruby's are for children aged 0-8 years old with SEND. We have been offering short breaks since 2017. Short breaks give the child the opportunity to have some fun at Ruby's but also give their parents and siblings the opportunity for a break too. This Christmas we have done things a little differently at Ruby's. We didn't choose presents and wrap them for our children. Instead the SEND team created a secret grotto of gifts so parents of SEND children could pop in and pick a present for their child and take it home and wrap it either from themsleves or from Ruby's. The grotto is part of our SEND support offer to help where we can and to make things a little easier. Thank you to everybody who has donated gifts, toys & selection boxes. You have helped to make Christmas special for those who need it the most this year. Look at how wonderful the grotto looks! We have a super model at Ruby's! Look at how fantastic Otis looks! We are so proud of him and had to share this! His mum Lou said "I signed Otis up with an inclusive talent agency in September and he did his first shoot in November for Primark, which he absolutely loved. He absolutely loves an audience and being in front of the camera, he’s made for the stage!"

We are proud and delighted to share the news that Ruby's chair Andrew Pear has been awarded a commission to be a Deputy Lieutenant of Cheshire. Andrew was appointed by Lord Lieutenant Lady Redmond. To receive a commission is a huge honour as Deputy Lieutenants serve as representatives of the crown and are recognised for their contribution to their county. Congratulations Andrew, it’s well deserved.
