WHAT MAKES A PITCH DECK STUN INVESTORS? A brilliant pitch deck needs to be more than clear, considered, and creative; it needs a hook & flow. A 'hook' is an intriguing fact or insight that catches the investor off guard from page 1. For example: Did you know working from home just 2 days a week is likely to be adding 120 Snickers bars’ worth of calories to your diet over a year? 'Flow' is smoothly taking the investor from the problem you've identified to the solution you're proposing. The problem and solution slides of your deck should be covered in a few punchy sentences across no more than 4 pages. Beyond these pages is where you delve deeper into the details of your business idea, once you’ve made the investor care enough to learn more. Seems straightforward, right? You'll be surprised how many bright founders get it wrong! Reach out to us if you'd like professional help building a deck that blows investors away right away. #startup #deck #investors #hook #pitch #problem #solution #snickers #presentation

FORGET ABOUT BRAND AWARENESS! Simply being aware of a brand doesn't drive you to buy its products and/or services. Believing that a brand will solve a real problem you're experiencing? That wins the sale. Fundamentally, marketing is about compellingly showing your audience that you understand their problem and have a convenient if not the best solution for it. 💡 If you're not doing that very well, it's time to ask for help. #sanguine #selling #brand #awareness #problem #solving #help #marketing

Should your pre-seed startup build a brand identity first or raise funds first? This is the million-dollar question every startup founder grapples with. While startups do well to exercise frugality, there are compelling reasons for investing in professional brand development before mustering the courage to approach investors. 1. A professional brand identity shows investors that you have a knack for marketing which demonstrates your ability to sell 2. The brand development process involves identifying your brand's unique selling points and values, giving your business the edge over competing pitches 3. Most institutional investors have finance, legal, or consulting backgrounds; building a strong brand identity shows them you can take care of marketing so they don't have to step outside their comfort zone when mentoring you Stay tuned for more startup insights! #branding #startup #startupinsights #investment #pitching #investors #marketing
