Our first goal as a school is to support diversity, inclusion and new entrants in to agriculture. Last year, we were delighted to work with Navaratnam Partheeban OBE and colleagues from McDonald's AHDB - Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board and Frank Parkinson Agricultural Trust to deliver an online programme that supports diversity on farm. Thanks Navaratnam Partheeban OBE for driving progress. Get involved.

Everyone deserves to have the opportunity to be able to experience, join and thrive within the agricultural sector. This includes any role within this space such as a farmer, vet, agronomist, engineer, grower, technition, marketer, sales, educator, student or scientist. Agriculture is stronger with diversity and diversity will enable sustainability. But not everyone feels they can belong in our sector and we don’t attract many diverse people. AgDiversity is the opportunity to change this. Awareness and education is the first step and being able to promote our sector as a forward thinking and progressive space is something that would be great to celebrate. Please try the programme and encourage others within our sector to do the same as if we can all make this small step, it will be a massive positive change for our sector.
