It’s a rigorous process that checks that each company is working to the highest level of SEMA standards, codes of practice and industry standards. Check they are conforming to health and safety requirements while also reducing their environmental impact. Plus, to save you the leg work it also checks they have the correct legal and insurance documentation in place. Have you booked your 2025 expert racking inspection? 🔎 Don’t make this another job on your list that you forget. Booking your Expert Inspection is essential for keeping your warehouse safe and making sure your meet your legal requirements. An Expert Inspection can only be carried out by a qualified professional such as our SEMA Approved Racking Inspectors (SARI). To earn their qualification, a SARI must undergo an intensive training course and successful complete both a written examination and practical assessment. Get them in to undertake an Expert Inspection and their report will provide clear guidance on the condition of your equipment and use a traffic light system to indicate actions required and recommended timescales for corrective action. Here’s a quick checklist to get you started: ✅ If you’re getting new racking….check the design, manufacturing and installations complies with regulations and design codes ✅ If you’re getting racking installed….make sure the racking installer has been trained in correct installation methods 📦 If you’re looking to extend your racking and increase storage capacity in your warehouse….speak to an Approved SEMA member who will check their work won’t invalidate the original racking warranty 📋 If your racking needs inspecting…..don’t forget to schedule in your next Expert inspection 🛠️ If the inspection flags up any damage….don’t forget to get it repaired otherwise it that weakened structure can become unsafe By tackling these tasks early, you’ll be well-prepared for the year ahead!
