Our Community Choir have been getting into the festive spirit in recent weeks! Not only did they put on a wonderful festive concert at their very own Hagley Road Village, but some members also travelled across to ExtraCare Solihull Retirement Village over the weekend to lead their residents in some carol singing at a village open day. Both concerts brought smiles to everyone's faces, not just the choir members but also the audience, which included fellow residents, families, and village staff who joined in with some of the festive hymns and carols 🎶

Today the team here at SFE got together to celebrate another brilliant year of bringing music and learning to life across the city 🎶   We enjoyed a festive lunch and music from our very own music teachers before heading off for the festive break 🎄   We'd like to say a huge thank you to our SFE colleagues for their brilliant work throughout 2024 - here's to a fantastic 2025 🎉   We'll see you next year! ✨

Reading as Part of our Safeguarding Provision 💡 The recent annual report from Renaissance, which has been carried out since 2005 and surveyed over 64,000 children between the ages of 8 and 18, showed that the number of those who choose to read daily in their free time, and those who stated that they enjoyed reading (either at school or at home) decreased.
