𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆, an inspiring session dedicated to fostering innovation and impact through social enterprises. The discussions were nothing short of #transformative, shedding light on how #social #enterprises are #reshaping the way we address #global #challenges. 📢 The 3 key principles of the Rural Social Enterprise Manifesto! The Rural Social Enterprise Manifesto is about helping rural communities grow through social enterprise. It highlights 3 key principles that policymakers and organisations should keep in mind when working with these communities: 1️⃣ Build trust first: In rural areas, trust is everything. Change happens when trust is built, and that starts with regular engagement, listening, and respecting the community’s pace. Without trust, nothing sticks. 2️⃣ Let those nearest the issue have the say: The people in the community know best what they need. By listening to them and supporting their skills, solutions can be created that really make a difference. 3️⃣ Co-develop metrics of success: Rural communities thrive on depth, not size. It’s important to measure success based on things like social inclusion, environmental care, and real economic value—things that truly matter to them. These principles are just the tip of the iceberg. The manifesto also gives practical advice on how policymakers can work hand-in-hand with rural communities to create lasting, positive change.
