(Shelter) For many women, homelessness is more than housing insecurity—it’s about surviving trauma, escaping abuse, and finding safety. Homelessness services play a vital role in providing life-changing support to women in crisis, but with the majority of homeless women having experienced domestic abuse, it’s crucial that services are equipped to respond in the best way possible. That’s why DAHA Accreditation for homelessness and supported accommodation providers is so pivotal. By embedding domestic abuse best practice into housing and homelessness support, we can ensure that: 💙 Women feel safe, understood, and supported from the moment they seek help. 💜 Supported accommodation is not just a roof, but a true place of refuge and recovery. 💚 Frontline teams have the tools and training to recognise and respond to abuse effectively. 🏆 Many services are already making incredible progress, and DAHA Accreditation is here to strengthen that work, ensuring every woman facing multiple disadvantage gets the safety and support she deserves.
