At SimComm Academy, we provide expert knowledge and support to help you with your healthcare communications training, whether it is designing a bespoke workshop, writing impactful and realistic scenarios, or just being on hand to provide specialist guidance to your own creative ideas. Whatever your training needs, our educational advisors can design your training content to be impactful, effective and real-to-life. What We Offer: Our team of dedicated actor role players, also known as 'simulated patients,' is here to bring realism to your training, assessments, or placements. Our actor role players are rigorously trained to simulate a diverse range of roles, whether they be patients, relatives, colleagues, or healthcare professionals. They enable direct communication with participants, creating realistic and memorable scenarios. We support individual and group training, placements, examinations, and the creation of teaching materials such as training videos, voiceovers, and e-learning content. Our team is carefully selected and coached to support various teaching methods, ensuring a fulfilling and impactful learning environment. We take pride in diversity, offering actors from different age groups, genders, ethnicities, and abilities. We can even provide child actor role players and those with healthcare expertise for added authenticity.

Thank you to all of the staff at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust who have attended our series of "What Matters to Me" simulation workshops. Yesterday we delivered the final course in the series. We have really enjoyed combining the use of forum theatre and observational simulation scenarios in order to explore issues and behaviours that may result in complaints, identifying modifications that may change the outcomes. These included active listening techniques, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, coaching questions, displaying empathy and appreciating others' perspectives. Thank you to Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Jacqui Wilkinson and Kelly Hunt for making this possible! #forumtheatre #simulationtraining #interprofessionallearning #communicationskills #empathy #actorroleplayers #patientsafety
