  • 🌊 Our offshore operations rely on excellent connectivity, even when we're 100 miles out to sea! We've been proud SpaceX Starlink customers for years, and now, thanks to The Clarus Networks Group and Chris Schonhut, we're even more connected. 🚀 A huge thank you to the team for supplying our two Starlink Maritime units for this operation. Their first-class customer service and technical support have been outstanding – and yes, you can actually speak to a real person! We couldn’t be more grateful for the seamless experience. We’ll never go direct again! #offshore #starlink #connectivity #technology #innovation

  • 🚢 Project Success! 🌊 We are thrilled to announce the success of our most recent offshore heavy lift project with Ørsted. Over the course of just 10 flying days, we successfully delivered 5,460 kg of cargo to 94 wind turbines—an impressive 94 deliveries! In one day alone, we moved 1,150 kg of cargo. This achievement showcases the power of precision and teamwork. This would not have been possible without the invaluable support from the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) of the Royal Navy. Special thanks to everyone who played a role in making this a reality, especially Paul Wilkinson. Skylift's offshore ambitions align closely with those of The Senior Service in key ways: 1️⃣ Operating from ships at sea with limited logistical support from shore. 2️⃣ Facing and overcoming hostile environments. 3️⃣ Leveraging highly automated processes with expert human oversight. 4️⃣ Achieving complex and challenging heavy lift operations. This project is a true testament to the power of collaboration and innovation. Onward and upward! 🚀 #OffshoreOperations #Innovation #Collaboration #HeavyLift #Skylift #RoyalNavy

  • We are delighted to see the post by Mads being released so quickly (literally still demobbing the ship! ⛴️ )There are a few things we’d like to say… So, firstly - thank you to Orsted and more specifically the team we have been working with for more than 18 months across 2 projects. Your drive within Orsted to get these projects funded and across the line cannot be underestimated and thank you for trusting us to deliver on your ambitions. These past few weeks we haven’t just delivered a box to the top of a wind turbine. We delivered 94, 60kg boxes to the tops of 94 wind turbines. That’s over 5 tons. Once we got into the swing of it we achieved 20 deliveries a day, over 1000kg in a 12 hour shift. This far exceeded our expectations of the cadence we could achieve. This was due to several factors. Firstly, An excellent team of experts, both offshore and back at base. We have a huge amount of knowledge within our little company. Secondly, we have spent 5 years developing our own software specifically designed to deliver cargo to the top of offshore wind turbines from ships. This was not a hands on sticks operation. This was drones doing what they do best and people monitoring and making sure everything is safe. Thirdly, we selected an excellent drone. There are very few companies building heavy lift drones. There are even fewer that have built more than a handful. A huge amount of due diligence went into selecting the FlyingBasket FB3 and we have worked with them to integrate our software and to have the offshore specification we required. There is a lessons learned list as long as my arm, but the main lesson is that the dream 6 years ago of a heavy lift cargo drone service has arrived, now and no one is better placed than Skylift to provide that operation for you.

Performing critical maintenance tasks of offshore wind farms safer and 10-15 times faster than usual… That is the result of Ørsted deploying the World’s first offshore heavy lift drone service in our Dutch Borssele wind farm. With 2,6 meter wingspan and cargo lift up to 100 kg, deployment of these drones can materially change the way operations is conducted. And is yet another step of Ørsted innovation that changes our business and our industry to the better. A big thank you to our team and partners for relentlessly pushing boundaries Onwards!
