We're delighted to showcase our latest project: a striking timber staircase installation at the prestigious Dragon School, Oxford, completed in collaboration with Kingerlee. This installation perfectly demonstrates how traditional materials can create contemporary impact. The staircase features naturally stained timber, celebrating the material's inherent beauty and grain patterns - a design choice that's both timeless and remarkably on-trend. Our approach here was simple yet sophisticated: ⭐️Natural tiber finish with minimal treatment ⭐️Visible grain patterns creating unique character ⭐️Clean lines meeting modern aesthetic demands ⭐️Perfect balance of form and function The result? A staircase that not only serves its purpose but adds a stunning architectural feature to this esteemed educational institution. At SMART Balustrades, we believe that taking time to step back and recharge is crucial for maintaining creativity, productivity and overall well-being. Recently, our MDs, David Hough and Jonathan Hough, took a well-deserved holiday with friends.
