Purpose-driven social for the good guys. Helping purpose-driven organisations develop a strategy with impact.
About us
We’re a team of social media specialists, passionate about driving positive change. We partner with organisations to drive results through the positive use of social media. Our expertise lies in social media strategy, managing social campaigns and bespoke training programmes. We work with not-for-profits, NGOs and businesses that care about more than just the bottom line. We believe in making social media a positive space for all that’s as valuable to businesses as it is for the individual. The ability to communicate and influence globally and instantly is a responsibility we should all take seriously and use to do good things. Our mission is to drive positive social impact by supporting purpose-driven organisations whose work supports at least one of the UN SDGs. Through collaborating with nonprofits and helping them to optimise their social media communication and campaigns, we ultimately aim to support their beneficiaries in alignment with the charities’ purpose. email us on hello@socialforgood.co.uk or call +44 (0) 1273 569 176

Our Kerry Watkins ran a fantastic workshop on digital detoxing yesterday with the lovely lot at Brighton Chamber. 🩷 Switching off can be difficult when you work in digital, and especially in social media - not that we're biased. But to work more productively and, most importantly, enjoy the work we're doing, we need to know when to switch off, relax and reset. Kerry took the group through practical, sustainable and playful ways to create a more balanced relationship with technology. We'll be sharing more with you soon! 🫶
Phubbing, brain drain and phone jail – how can you redefine your relationship with your digital device? We had a super fun morning with Kerry Watkins from Social for Good at Projects, as she re-ran her ‘24/6? How to avoid being always on’, Brighton Summit workshop for the Chamber team. We explored our digital habits, what we’d like to change, and what impact that change will have. There were lots of takeaways and interesting insights into research around our relationship to tech, but here’s one thing each of the team are going to start doing after Kerry’s brilliant workshop: 📴 Hannah is going to leave her phone in a different room while she sleeps, for at least one night a week (as a start!) 💡 Kitty is going to be more intentional about going on her phone – almost 70% of phone pickups last less than two minutes ✉ Sarah is going to take her time replying to things, to avoid creating distractions for herself 📚 Jessica is going to get a kindle for bedtime reading 💤 Luke is going to limit screen time before bed - screen exposure reduces the amount of melatonin your brain produces and how long you’re able to sleep for ⏰ Amy is going to buy an old-school alarm clock, and introduce more deep work into her working day We’ve also come away with a little reminder to keep in our pockets, of the thing we want to remind ourselves of before we pick up our phone or check that notification 👇 A big thank you to Kerry for running this morning’s session, it was great!
