Key highlights from 2024: 🎉Global Celebrations: We celebrated our 15th Anniversary and took a moment to look back on our incredible journey over the past 15 years. ⚡Strategic Growth: Reached over 11GW of controlled capacity, including a development pipeline of more than 6GW, covering multiple continents. 🌍Expanding Our Reach: Obtained Notices to Proceed across 16 sites and 4 countries, adding 495MW of capacity. 🚀Milestone Inaugurations: Espiga & Betierra (Spain), Aprilia (Italy), WD Cluster (Poland). 🌳Driving Sustainability: Avoided 1.7 million tonnes of CO2e annually and launched 21 impactful community initiatives. 🤝Record Financing: We closed over EUR 5 billion worldwide, more than double the amount secured in 2023, including our most recent refinancing of 3.25bn These achievements are a testament not only to our operational excellence but also to the strength of our people—now over 570 strong, representing 40 nationalities—united by our core values, with our One Team value driving everything we do at Sonnedix. 📣 Sonnedix secures record EUR3.25 billion to scale its European portfolio Today we have announced two major refinancings that will provide significant financial flexibility and capacity to accelerate the development of our pipeline of projects across Spain, Italy, and France, while also supporting our expansion into storage. ✅ The first transaction has been provided by CaixaBank. Valued at c.EUR750 million, it refinanced our regulated 197MW asset portfolio in Spain, consolidating seven financings into one. ✅The second transaction worth EUR2.5 billion refinanced our portfolio of renewable energy assets in Spain, Italy, and France with the ability to expand the facility with new assets across Europe and the UK. This was provided by 15 commercial lenders and institutional investors. Crédit Agricole CIB and Santander CIB acted as co-financial advisors with A&O Shearman as legal advisor. Did You Know? Saharan dust can impact solar plants!   Earlier this year, we spoke with Euronews about the impact of extreme dust events on solar plants and the measures we take at Sonnedix to mitigate this risk across our own plants.   ✨Even small amounts of dust can reduce sunlight reaching solar cells by 15%, which can have a significant impact on the amount of renewable energy produced.   That’s why our operations and maintenance team work together with weather forecasters to plan cleaning sessions according to dust events and rainfall.   Thank you to our brilliant #OneTeam who continue to give our operating plants the care and attention that they need, even after construction is complete, to ensure sustained long-term operational excellence.    #SolarPV #RenewableEnergy #DidYouKnow #BrightFuture

Reflecting on the inauguration of Betierra ☀️   Our #OneTeam in Spain recently travelled from our Madrid office to Belinchón, Cuenca for the inauguration of our 150 MW Betierra project! Joined by our partners, members of the local community, and representatives from local and regional government, we came together to celebrate Sonnedix’s commitment to long-term, sustainable growth in the country, where we now have over 1 GW of owned and operated renewable energy capacity.   The sun was out as our attendees toured the site, where they were able to see first-hand the size and scale of the project – three plants spanning 300 hectares of land with shared interconnection infrastructure.   We also heard from Sonnedix Co-Founder and Chairman Carlos Guinand, as well as our partners Equinix, who shed light on the project’s synergy with the environment, coexisting alongside several protected species, and its impact on the local community, including creating 250 jobs at peak construction and hosting an educational visit in collaboration with UNICEF. This week our General Counsel, Mel Rowlands, spoke on a panel at Energyear UK and Ireland: "Driving Sustainable Growth: Current Solar Strategies in a Competitive Global Market". As part of her role, Mel recently led the refresh of Sonnedix’s sustainability strategy and is currently guiding the rollout of our net zero transition plan and CSRD reporting.
