Do you have a road map for your brand journey? Do you have a plan on how your product launches will hit your target dates? If you do, great... If you don’t scoot to the bottom👇 But know your “plan” is as good as a chocolate fire-guard, if you can’t find the people to make it happen for you. 🫠 ~ Where do you buy a roll of shoulder strapping wholesale? ~ How do you find the custom colour cloths that won’t leave you sat on a small hillock of dead-stock? ~ Where can you grade your bra patterns up to ‘H’ cup? It can be the simplest road block that will draw everything to a stop. So if you want the inside track DM “one off” to see about gaining a 1-2-1 on just this. Not only can I provide the contacts but I’ll make sure they’re the best people for the job too. No road map = no problem. 😌 Don’t let this set you back. Book a 1 -2-1 session with me and we can put a realistic plan together and leap frog you to the next stage with the clarity and contacts you need.

We love a bargin, a sale, a 50% off. We’ve been hard wired to see money as the biggest value indicator in everything we do. Where this falls down and becomes a crock of sh*t: ☝️ When you have kids and suddenly your value has zero to do with your pay check ✌️ When you run your own business and you are the last person on the spreadsheet to be paid a salary. So in the interest of good will, I’m offering some free advice until the 18th December on your brand topics. Drop me your questions below and I will provide some free advice or support where I can in this last month of 2024. That’s it, no strings attached. Merry Christmas 💝

This is the biggest truth about cultivating a business, a brand, a product on the side. Bootstrapping around pay checks, strrretching the working week to grab chats early doors or turning Sundays into planning days. There is a million different things to think of and action. The hardest part is knowing which bits to do first for the greatest impact. So if you know, mistakes, pitfalls, pivots, changes of mind are ALL part of the journey, Are you comfortable to just go and bloody do it anyway?! In all this time, I have never seen a business blossom that got it all right. The f**k ups are just as important. So take it all, get comfortable with it and KNOW you will achieve what you wanted to anyway. 💪 Want to talk about it? Would love to hear your experiences in the comments or in my DM's. Or subscribe to the newsletter to be part of our community all doing the same things. ✌️

A pet hate of mine is this 😬👇 Clients feeling on the back foot because they don't have all the answers or👇 clients who have been given answers in a jargon-tastic way 😪 A recent client said to me, “you know the vocabulary to talk with suppliers and factories”. I’m glad she reminded me of this because only recently, even I was flummoxed by a well meaning manufacture on what their ACTUAL need from a question was! But my mission from the beginning was/ is to make the process transparent, easy to navigate and learnable for those that are not from our industry especially. So I’ll take translator as a skill set and if you’ve been parked by an unfathomable email or reply, share it and I’d be happy to turn it into plain English 😉 If you want more clear and transparent advice on this whole brand and product building thing, add yourself to our newsletter where we dig deeper into topics.

Don’t undermine your customers and don’t undermine your brand position. This can be a death sentence for your brand positioning. Unless you are selling cheap mass-produced tat (in which case, what the h*ll are you doing here?) protect your brand integrity. It's just one day but the damage of revaluing your product worth does 2 things: ☠️ You will never convince your loyal customer your product is worth the regular price ever again ☠️ You will loose money for far longer than just one day. 🎀 If you find yourself sat on too much stock you can’t shift, let's chat. There are other ways to sell through that don’t sign a death sentence for your business. 🫶

My first piece of advice… The only bad question is the unasked one! Asking all the questions is the one thing that truly accelerates anyone's brand journey. Ask your questions however you have to ask them, take as long as you need and ask the same question repeatedly if needed. For me, answering them and exploring the solutions with you, is where the growth is and is the most rewarding part of my job. Don’t worry about asking (what you think is) the simple questions. I guarantee you will not be the only one thinking it! 💯 So... What do you want to know?

Last week I got the opportunity to film, to what will be, a captive audience of investors, local politicians, stakeholders, etc. I talked about Emmaline B, its mission and what it means to be a female founder and business owner operating out of the Midlands area. I ended on the £250bn potential lost revenue to the UK by not seeing more female entrepreneurs in the forefront of business. I am: a female in business, a female in business in midlife, a female in business in midlife in the Midlands. At each step the system is stacked against us. My life long career in apparel has always been about female confidence and empowerment; to get on and do what we need to do, day after day. Either through wearing the amazing lingerie and sports bras I product develop or by working with some mighty female founders to build their passions into a new revenue generating business of their own. I know their pains, their patience, their super highs and their lowest lows. It’s long overdue that we shout about this and kick up a stink around it. I am truly grateful to Adam Walters, #Natwest #Accelerator Warwick Innovation District for the opportunity and to the super powers that are trail blazing these messages at Female Founders Rise and The 51% Club.
