📢 Oxford Space Systems selected for UK government earth observation mission. UK Ministry of Defence has announced that the Oberon earth observation synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite mission has been awarded to Airbus Defence and Space, with Oxford Space Systems as a key supplier. For the first time, the UK Ministry of Defence has published images taken by Tyche, defence’s first fully owned Earth Observation satellite. They show the California wildfires, Heathrow, Sydney, and Washington DC, demonstrating how we can take photos of anywhere on Earth when defence needs it.
