Making every day count

About us

At St Rocco's Hospice are proud to be a local charity supported by the people and businesses of Warrington with over 70% of the £5m we need each year coming directly from supporters in our local community. Our care is offered free of charge and we are dedicated to helping each patient live their life to the full with respect, dignity and choice. We believe in making every day count for our patients, their carers, families and loved ones. As well as our 10 bed In-Patient Unit our Vitality Centre offers a range of services including complementary therapies, outpatients clinics, physio and occupational therapy and counselling, with the aim of supporting patients to stay as well as possible for as long as possible. We also care for the carers, offering relaxation sessions, complementary therapies and family support where appropriate. We also provide bereavement counselling. We are a 'Hospice Without Walls' . Our care reaches into the very heart of our communities through our services like Hospice At Home and our volunteer befriending service 'Rocco's On Your Doorstep'. www.stroccos.org.uk

  • To commemorate 40 years of St. Rocco’s, our supporters have been sharing some lovely memories with us. Kathryn’s father, William Maurice Wright was hesitant to visit the hospice after his diagnosis, even just for the afternoon. Eventually, with the persuasion of his family and help of his district nurse, William began going for the day, and after his first visit was so full of praise for St. Rocco’s and their staff, even looking forward to his next visits and eventually his stay at the hospice towards the end of his life. If you would like to share your story with us, please contact our Marketing Team on E: marketingteam@stroccos.org.uk

  • Gifts in wills are crucial to the survival and growth of hospices, providing 15% of the voluntary income that we rely on to deliver essential care. As a registered charity, we rely heavily on fundraising and donations to enable us to continue to deliver our care. That’s why when you leave a Gift in your Will to St. Rocco’s, you are helping us to plan with confidence to ensure the legacy of care lives on for future generations. Visit, https://lnkd.in/ewA2G3nT to leave your Gift.

  • Hospice care at St. Rocco’s is everything you’d expect… and everything you wouldn’t. It is finality and uncertainty, brave faces, and shedding tears. It is short days and long nights. Living for now with the weight of tomorrow. But it’s also love and life and celebration. It’s going the extra mile, doing away with convention, and remembering what really matters.

  • We're proud to announce the launch of the "This is Hospice Care" campaign, a groundbreaking collaboration between 143 hospices across the UK, brought together by Hospice UK. For many of us, a hospice will touch our lives, whether for ourselves, a loved one, or a friend, providing comfort, dignity, and expert care through life's most challenging times. But just as this incredible support wouldn't exist without hospices across the UK, St. Rocco’s Hospice care wouldn't exist without your help and support. That's why we've come together to shine a light on the essential role hospices play in our communities and protect our futures. We're asking everyone to consider leaving a Gift in their Will to St. Rocco’s. Help us continue to Make Every Day Count by visiting, https://lnkd.in/ewA2G3nT
