📢The final round of negotiations to establish a global treaty to tackle plastic waste pollution has finished without an agreement in place. Due to a handful of major oil producing nations blocking proposals, we are going to have to wait at least another year before a treaty can be put in place.😠 🛢️Whilst big polluters will surely look to derail these talks again and again we must make sure our government stands firm as part of the high ambition coalition working for plastic reduction targets. ✊Our resolve must not be dimmed.✊ To ensure that our government continue to take plastics reduction seriously at home and on the global stage, we need to take the plastics big oil is filling our ocean with, and use it to drown our Government in evidence, so they can not ignore plastic pollution.
