Out of office and into a field… Earlier this month, we invited a few of our Roamers Collective on a tree planting mission to Burnehyll Community Woodland in Oxfordshire, UK. Founder Richard Sutcliffe and a few of the Passenger crew stepped in - plus ambassador Sam Jones, a.k.a No Meat Disco - planting over 100 native apple trees. Kendal, you did not disappoint. A big thanks to all who braved the weather over a stacked weekend of talks, cooking demos, group escapes and big smiles. Little Firs supplied a little shelter from the rain, plus plenty of Passenger x Dometic goodies in the lucky dip. The Roamer signal (neon logo) shone bright, and the Passenger origin story was put into words by the man himself, Richard Sutcliffe. Our ambassadors Lise Wortley and Somewhere Wilder talked travels and creativity, whilst Sam Jones supplied good eats and disco tunes. A special mention to BBC Radio 6's DJ Nemone at the Barrelhouse and her 3-part immersive experience with Scottish Ensemble. To all the brave souls on Saturday’s early Lake Windermere dip, we tip our beanies. This was a special one for us, made possible by the awesome Passenger Events team (shoutout to Olivia Thurlow and Ayla Sergeant) our partners Dometic, Goodrays and Brewgooder, and everyone at Kendal Mountain Festival ’24. True to our roots, we’re back with the Passenger tradition of Green Friday for the 8th year running. For every order placed over the next 10 days, we’ll plant 5 trees and protect 1,000sqm of rainforest. This year, donations will go towards food-providing forest garden trees in East Africa, planet-cooling rainforests in South America, ocean-cleaning mangroves in Madagascar, and wildfire restoration in the Pacific Northwest. Hitting the trails 🤙 Last Saturday, our friends over at Passenger and social running club, Sole Clinic, kicked off their first community event down at the New Forest. Passenger x Sole Clinic. 👟 Last weekend, we kicked off our first community event with the legends at Bournemouth-based social running club, Sole Clinic. Just over 100 runners and 3 four-legged friends joined us for an 8k trail run through the New Forest. We had several runners testing out our activewear range...cue the sea of neon caps and 'Made To Roam' T-Shirts and trail shorts. A huge shoutout to everyone who came out and brought the energy, and to Goodrays for the post-run refreshments. Blue Earth Summit 2024. 🌍 Some of the Passenger crew attended Blue Earth Summit this week, soaking up inspiring talks by good folk working on responsible solutions to help our planet. We hung out with our friends at Ocean Bottle, heard thoughts on the future of the outdoors and how culture is driving change in sport, and made a bunch of new connections that we look forward to continuing conversations with. And lastly, ending the week with a 5km shakeout this morning along the Thames with Protect Our Winters and Merrell. #PassengerClothing #BlueEarthSummit
