Another highlight of 2024 for SVGC was hosting Catherine Proudlove, the Small Medium Enterprise (SME) lead for UK Ministry of Defence Commercial, at our Head Office! Simon Walker, Mark Milligan, and Andrew Dixon had the opportunity to introduce Catherine to the innovative work we’re doing at SVGC, and engage in an insightful discussion about the challenges SMEs face when engaging with the MOD. We also explored the power of SME collaboration and the potential impacts of the upcoming Procurement Act on our business landscape. An exciting topic that came up was the opportunity to cultivate a #DefTech culture in the UK, following the success of the FinTech transformation in the banking and finance sectors.
