Great collaborative morning spent with employers for our 'Explore AI' event looking at how the college uses technology in learning and how businesses can help to improve the curriculum. Guests were given a presentation by industry partners and Carl Shaw, Assistant Principal, before taking a tour of the state-of-the-art campus and trying out our 360 degree 'iHub' #ICanBe

It’s been a great week of technical skills as the college hosted the national finals of the WorldSkills UK competitions! 🧑💻 The next generation of skilled young people have been showing off their skills in everything from cyber security right through to mechatronics and additive manufacturing. The technology on display is simply outstanding and bringing young people from local schools in to learn all about the possibilities on offer in post-16 education was a highlight of the week! On Tuesday our Automotive students welcomed visitors from LSH Auto UK Limited (Mercedes Stockport) and WPC Group who brought along three apprentices from Australia! 🦘 The activity was all part of an effort to demonstrate the latest technologies used by Mercedes Benz on their cars, learning how the industry differs abroad and learning valuable new skills 🚗🔧 Students were given in depth demo's by the apprentices and were able to ask them questions about their work with the company.
