  • Today marks World Cancer Day. It's an opportunity for everyone in the cancer community to come together and ensure our voices are being heard by decision makers. This morning, our CEO Catherine Hart (nee Lorne), alongside two of our wonderful campaigners Sbba Siddique and Catherine Hunt attended Macmillan Cancer Support’s event ‘In Conversation with The Rt. Hon. Wes Streeting MP, Secretary of State for Health & Social Care’ to mark World Cancer Day. "Today was a vital opportunity to hear directly from the Secretary of State and connect with those affected by cancer. It reinforced how crucial it is that we come together to ensure the voices of our community shape the National Cancer Plan. Too many people with ovarian cancer face delays in diagnosis and unequal access to care — this must change. At Target Ovarian Cancer, we have a clear plan to give everyone diagnosed with this disease the best possible chance of survival, and we stand ready to work with the government to make that vision a reality." - Catherine Hart (nee Lorne) Read more on our website: https://lnkd.in/es94mrta
